This
module is a decoder for INMARSAT-C TDMA data channel. It works with
BPSK and 1200 bps.
Output
can be shown Binary and this bit pattern can be send by LAN also.
Extensive search- and sort functions are available to enable Inmarsat monitoring without the need of other additional
programs or tools. Selection on all EGC's is
possible to show all Navigation and Meteo messages
in good order. The status line shows the tuned channel number and frequency,
Ocean Regio, Coast Earth Station and LCN ID in
clear text.
Even here is no special receiver or an IF output requested, a scanning
receiver with SSB demodulator is all you need to start. A modern software
receiver like the famous SDR-14, preferred by our company, makes monitoring
(and life) much easier, in our case it is connected to an
wideband IF output of the VHF receiver and shows a part of the SAT spectrum
as a panoramic display and receiver. BTW: on shortwave this SDR-14 is an
ideal solution, it is fully supported by CODE300-32 and will be fully
integrated in our users interface. More news follows
This example shows a Navarea warning,
only the clear text messages will be stored in the lower screen.

This example selects all LCN’s with 71 and stores only these messages into the lower screen for further processing.

SDR-14 connected to an IF output shows a 150 Khz
wide spectrum with a few active Inmarsat-C
channels.
